It is a computer, like your phone is a computer, it's just not a laptop or desktop because they don't want it to be really. That segment is for macbooks still. Putting macos on there, or merging them, would cost them currently from people sllitting between multiple devices.

I don’t find the iPad 10 confusing at all. I am 84 years old and it is easy train your self to operate an electronic device. I like the feature Of the USB C port it gives you so many options to connect devices. If you are stuck on the old devices get a iPad 9 th generation problem solved.

Just another point of view. So was someone actively working on AI at one the big 7, I think the device may have had serveral intentions (training/product development being one of them .. obviously? .. as all product are - not shocking) .. the price point is inconsequential (if this amount of money is too much and your looking for a utility - this is not for you.. if you are however an early adopter/researcher .. its well worth the money for me .. I love giving it to folks (particularly those with little AI experience) and see how and what people do.. Its also (having many flagship devices / samsung) in my pocket/desk/wrist etc... this niche will certainly be solved by smartphone (is already to degree with s24u and others this year to be launched) .. but I also will admit (with my security hat) the concentration risk of all those things on single device (now) is concerning.. I didn't opt into any of the connectors due to concern (unknown company data handling procedures) to risk any sensitive data.. anyway .. yes this will all converge back but its formfactor is intersting and at least for 200 an interesting experiment. Let the flaming begin :->
